This Traineeship is ideal for anyone aged 16 to 24 with an interest in working in the sport industry. It is a great opportunity for those that are interested in working towards supporting the delivery of coaching to young people.

Duties

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • To shadow and assist in the delivery of sports instruction to primary school children
  • To ensure sustainability of activity and increase the quality of PE and School Sport
  • To encourage students/players to participate
  • Day to day operational administrative duties 
  • Understanding and working within health and safety requirements 
  • Providing customer service within the sport and leisure sector 

Training to be provided

  • Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Sport (Sport and Physical Activity)
  • Level 2 Certificate in Multi Skills Development 
  • You will also undertake workshops to improve your English, Maths and Employability skills
  • Health and Safety, Safegaurding and Customer Service workshops 

Future prospects

After successful completion of the Traineeship course, you will have gained vital work experience in the field of sports coaching, you will receive a certificate for your qualifications, an exit interview and a letter of reference upon request to support future job applications. For all successful learners there is the opportunity to progress on to an Apprenticeship with Active Apprentice and the host employers.
